Advanced Program in Human Resources Management

Program Details


The APHRM consists of four five-day modules spread over six to eight months.  Participants are taught to think critically, blending theory and practise.  The learning approach includes negotiation exercises, team-building, case analysis, lectures, group work and examinations. Topics include (but are not limited to): Business Strategy, Leadership, Talent Management, Diversity, Business Ethics,Financial Management and Corporate Governnance

The Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA)

APHRM is the only program in Canada that meets 100% of the coursework requirements for the National Knowledge Exam (NKE). Individuals who successfully complete the program are recognized by the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) as being eligible to write the National Certification Examinations towards attaining the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation. 

Please note that CHRP members who complete this program after receiving their professional designation may choose to submit their program participation as part of their recertification requirements and earn 100 points towards their CHRP recertification.

***Effective January 1, 2011 individuals are required to have a University Degree to be eligible to write the National Exams for CHRP designation as set by the HRPA. The admission criteria to Rotman's Advanced Program in Human Resources Management will not require applicants to have a university degree, however, those who complete APHRM without a degree will not meet the criteria to write the National Standards exams for designation.
