Rotman’s Business Design™ Program
A Design-based Approach to Innovation
“We are on the cusp of a design revolution in business. As a result, today's business people don't need to understand designers better, they need to become designers."
Dean, Roger Martin, Rotman School of Management
The Rotman School of Management's new three-day Business Design program addresses today’s business challenge to manage the present while concurrently creating a future of growth and sustained success. Innovation is essential in creating future value. Organizations need practical ways to ignite teams and frame a road map for future success.
At Rotman, we teach business design: a design-based practice for developing and delivering human and economic value.Rotman DesignWorks operates as the School's centre for design-based innovation and education. As an academic and commercial 'learning lab', we foster strong ties to industry and openly collaborate with a growing network of partners, locally and internationally.
Whether the goal is to deliver greater value through new products and services, or to reinvent an entire business model, this program will help participants get to bigger ideas, faster and more efficiently through the practice of Business Design.
"By broadening the definition of ‘‘design’’ and expanding the application of design methodologies and mindsets to business, enterprises can move beyond mere survival and incremental change, and open up new possibilities for breakthrough growth strategies and organizational transformation."
Heather M.A. Fraser, Director at DesignWorks and Adjunct Professor at the Rotman School of Management.
